Magic Slime Lab – Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-11-02

Overview

Magic Slime Lab (the "App") is a creative game made for children and enjoyed by the whole family: you mix your own slimes, collect them in an album and play a slime puzzle. The App is made by Ivan Milivojević, an independent developer from Serbia ("we", "us"), who is responsible for the App's data (the "controller" under the GDPR).

In short:

This policy covers the App on Google Play. If you have a question, write to ivan.milivojevich@gmail.com.

Information we do not collect

We do not ask for, collect or keep:

The App does not ask for permission to use your location, microphone, camera or contacts, and the permission to read the advertising ID is removed from the App. On the first start the player types a name for their profile (a nickname is fine); it is shown only in the game and stays on the device, like everything else in it.

Your birth year and the ads you see

The first time you play, the App asks for your birth year from a list. Nothing is picked in advance, and every year is offered the same way. The year is saved on your device only. It is not sent to us, to analytics or to any ad partner. The App uses it only to decide what kind of ads you get, and whether a grown-up is asked for consent first. The year is asked only this once and cannot be changed afterwards: the area for grown-ups, at the bottom of the settings, shows it but does not let anyone change it. Only clearing the App's data or reinstalling the App asks again, and that also deletes everything saved in the game.

To be careful, the App counts your age as if your birthday had not come yet this year, so a player born 13 years ago is treated as 12 until the next year. Until a birth year is chosen, the App loads no ads at all.

Whatever your age, the App never uses your device's advertising ID: the permission for it is removed from the App, so the identifier is not available to the App or to any ad partner.

Ads

The App shows ads in two ways:

All ads come from Google AdMob; the App uses no other ad network. Ads that would not suit a family game are blocked for everyone, including ads about dating, gambling, alcohol, weight loss, cosmetic procedures, sexual topics, drugs and supplements, politics, religion and "get rich quick" offers. Tapping an ad may open a web page or an app store page outside the App.

To show ads, count them and prevent fraud, Google may process technical information such as the device model, the operating system, the IP address and an identifier made for this App on this device (not the advertising ID). How Google uses information from apps that use its services: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Your privacy choices

In-app purchases

The App offers optional purchases: slime packs, a pack of magic backgrounds, a bundle of all packs, bags of gems for the game and "No pop-up ads". The whole game can be played without paying: purchases only add extras, and gems can also be won by playing.

Purchases are handled entirely by Google Play. We never see your name, card or other payment details. The App only receives a confirmation of what was bought, so it can unlock it on your device. Google Play asks for its own confirmation before any purchase and, if your family uses Google Family Link, a parent's approval. Refunds are handled by Google Play under its own rules.

Analytics

The App contains no analytics, crash reporting, attribution or tracking SDKs, and we do not measure, record or profile how anyone plays. The game counts things like stars, levels and daily quests on the device only, for the game itself.

Google AdMob gives us reports with totals for the whole App, such as how many ads were shown; these reports never tell us who saw them.

Weekly leaderboard

The slime puzzle can have a weekly online leaderboard. When it is switched on, the App sends only the week's best score of this device, a random key made on the device, a made-up player name built from two words of the game's own slime-name list plus a number (for example "Magic Jelly 42"), and the number of the slime buddy picture. The name the player typed is never sent, and nobody can type text that others see. Each score is saved with its week, and only the current week is shown. To have a device's scores deleted, write to ivan.milivojevich@gmail.com with the made-up player name.

Data saved on your device

The profile name, the birth year, the slimes you make, coins, gems and daily gifts, levels and stars, completed challenges and settings are saved only on your device, inside the App. They are never sent to us or to anyone else, and they are deleted when the App is uninstalled. If your device's own backup (for example Google backup) is turned on, this data is part of that backup, under your family's own account.

Children's privacy

The App is designed for children and follows Google Play's Families policy. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Children's ad requests are marked as child-directed, show only ads rated for all ages and are never personalised, as COPPA and the GDPR require. Links that leave the App (the contact email, rating the App, the addresses in this policy) are only in the area for grown-ups, at the bottom of the settings, never in the game itself. A parent or guardian who has a question or a request can write to ivan.milivojevich@gmail.com.

Internet and permissions

The game works offline. It goes online only to load ads from Google AdMob, to reach Google Play (when the App starts, to know what was already bought and the prices, and when something is bought or purchases are restored), and to reach the leaderboard server when online scores are on. All of these connections are encrypted. The App asks for no permission to use your location, microphone, camera, contacts or advertising ID.

Legal basis, how long data is kept, and where it goes

Ads for grown-ups in the EEA, UK and Switzerland rely on their consent, which can be withdrawn at any time as described above. Non-personalised ads and the leaderboard rely on our legitimate interest in offering the game for free. Data on your device stays until the App is uninstalled or its data is cleared; leaderboard scores stay until we are asked to delete them; Google keeps ad data as described in its own policies. Google may process data on servers outside your country, under the safeguards described in its privacy policy.

Your rights

You can ask what data about you exists and ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and you can object to its use, by writing to ivan.milivojevich@gmail.com. Since we keep nothing ourselves apart from leaderboard scores, uninstalling the App removes everything on your device. You can also complain to a data protection authority: in Serbia the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection, or the authority of your own country.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version is published at the same address with a new date at the top.
